The Board of Directors of Kuehne + Nagel International AG has decided to call an Extraordinary General Meeting of its shareholders to be held on 9 December 2008. The following items will be on the agenda.

Peter Ulber (48) has been appointed to the Kuehne + Nagel International AG Management Board with effect from January 1, 2009. He will be responsible for the business unit Sea & Air Logistics, and succeeds Reinhard Lange, who will take up his new function as Group CEO on January 1, 2009.

Reinhard Lange, who was appointed as the successor to CEO Klaus Herms by the Board of Directors of Kuehne + Nagel International AG in September 2007, will take up his new function on January 1, 2009.

As of October 1, 2008, Klaus-Michael Kuehne will delegate important functions within his scope of responsibilities to Karl Gernandt.
