Kuehne + Nagel International AG

New Management Board appointment

Schindellegi/CH, September 15, 2008 - Peter Ulber (48) has been appointed to the Kuehne + Nagel International AG Management Board with effect from January 1, 2009. He will be responsible for the business unit Sea & Air Logistics, and succeeds Reinhard Lange, who will take up his new function as Group CEO on January 1, 2009.

Peter Ulber joined Kuehne + Nagel in 1983 and held various management positions within the company’s North America organisation. In 1988, he was promoted to Regional Director of the South America region, where he laid the foundations for the sustained growth of the local Kuehne + Nagel national companies. In 2001, he was appointed National Manager of the UK organisation, and in 2006, his scope of responsibilities was expanded to include Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden as Regional Director Northwest Europe. The region currently comprises approx. 10,000 employees at 120 locations.
