Industry Recognition & Awards

When evaluating a logistics provider, among the questions you should ask are:

  • Does the company have the capability for ongoing innovation?
  • Does a culture of innovation exist within the company?
  • Does management focus on innovation?

In Kuehne + Nagel's case, the answer to each is "yes," borne out by industry recognition of the successful generation and implementation of our innovative ideas.

Among recent recognition of our innovative approaches:

  • Germany's Federal Logistics Association (BVL) awarded Kuehne + Nagel the German Logistics Prize 2005 (pictured above). Since 1984, the Federal Logistics Association has awarded a prize to companies that have successfully implemented pioneering logistics concepts. The jury praised Kuehne + Nagel’s unique aviation logistics capabilities as meeting the high demands of the sector in terms of dimensions, diversity and precision, as well as the fulfillment of safety requirements.
  • A.T. Kearney, a world-leading management consultancy, honored Switzerland’s most innovative companies. Kuehne + Nagel was named Best Innovator 2006, with the highest score among all 30 participating companies. Following an in-depth evaluation, Kuehne + Nagel convinced the specialists of A. T. Kearny of its excellent innovation strategy, as well as its first-class implementation of the innovation process throughout the organization. Manfred Tuerks, Managing Director, A.T. Kearney in Switzerland, said, “It is decisive to go all the way, from generating ideas to market success. At Kuehne + Nagel, the innovation chain is firmly and sustainably embedded within the organization.”
  • Readers of the leading industry publication, Containerisation International (CI) magazine, honored Kuehne + Nagel with the CI Multi-Regional Logistics Provider 2006 award, in recognition of the company's innovation, strong performance and enhanced IT-based services. Companies were short-listed in recognition of their achievements and innovation in the seafreight and container industry. CI then invited its international readership from the shipping, freight forwarding, ports and ship operator industries to cast votes in each category.
  • Kuehne + Nagel Canada received the 2006 Consumers’ Choice Award™ for Business Excellence in Customs Brokerage in the Transportation and Distribution category. The Consumers’ Choice Award™ is an initiative of the Consumers’ Choice Institutes in Canada and the United States covering a broad range of categories of interest to the public and businesses. Its purpose is to publicly identify those establishments which have been voted by consumers as being their choice for excellence. Consumers’ Choice Award™ winners were determined by a sampling of 1,600 professional and public consumers and their response to an objective, independent survey in 2005.

Our deep-rooted culture of innovation ensures ongoing development of creative solutions and adaptation to new market developments.
