Cargo 2000: Bringing Value To You

Cargo 2000, an IATA interest group of major airlines, freight forwarders and other industry associates, is focused on implementing a new quality management system for worldwide air cargo.

With Kuehne + Nagel, a leader in the Cargo 2000 project, as your airfreight forwarder, you receive the high reliability and service levels of a Cargo 2000-enhanced transport process.

The Cargo 2000 project is divided into three phases. Kuehne + Nagel is the only logistics provider currently to be Phase 2 certified across its global network. The objective was to introduce standardized processes for the door-to-door transport chain, which are measured and supported by data, subsequently improving efficiency. The final goal (Phase 3) is to plan and monitor each shipment and its documents at piece level.

Phase 2 certification delivers:

• Better supply chain planning, founded on a time-defined, fact-based Route Map
• Enhanced shipment control by means of round-the-clock Route Map monitoring -- including automated alerting
• Higher visibility and security via status updates at each milestone, based on standardized interfaces and data-exchange procedures between Kuehne + Nagel and the carrier
