KN ProLog improves operational effectiveness by including sophisticated rail connected warehouses known as railports throughout Europe. This ability to combine shipments and offer consolidation services reduces overall costs and boosts environmental efficiency for us and our customers. We have access to more than 30 railports across the continent, enabling us to offer fast, economical block train services.
Within our warehouse facilities in Thessaloniki, Greece our special Proodos network operates a rail-connected, 5.000m2 cross-docking compound where wagons as well as all trans-shipment operations take place. This network consolidates single-wagon traffic in hubs and sends them as a block train to the Balkans area.
Kuehne + Nagel is currently using six European consultations points (hubs) in Austria, Hungaria, Slovenia, Serbia and Italy and provides up to 4000 trains per year.
