How does the on-boarding process look like at Kuehne + Nagel?

Your manager will arrange for important meeting so that you get to know who you are going to work with beyond your own team. In some cases, we will already have booked some further trainings and seminar for you in order to facilitate your start into the new job.

How does the general application process look like?
After submitting your online application, our recruitment experts will pre-select suitable candidates for a first short phone interview.
After internal consultation we will organize at least one personal interview (the number depends on the vacancy) with candidates that have met all our initial requirements. Exceptions are possible and subject to country specific settings.
Can I send my application via e-mail or post?
In general, we only accept online applications. However, some local exceptions might apply. Please follow the instructions in the job advertisement.
What will happen with the data that I enter into the online application system?
We take data security very seriously. Your data is treated with the utmost care and is not forwarded to any third parties.
After 6 months of inactivity on your account we will inform you via email that your account will be deleted unless you log in again. You can simply reactivate your account by signing into the system again.
How long does it take to submit an application?
First of all, make sure you have all your file attachments ready and up-to date when signing on to our online application system. The application itself will then only take 10 to 20 minutes.
Please bear in mind, that writing a good and convincing motivational letter and gathering references and certificates might take longer.

Will I receive any confirmation after submitting my application?
Yes, after successfully submitting your application via our online application system you will get a written confirmation that we have received it.
How long do I have to wait after submitting my application?
The first round of the application process (gathering and sorting incoming applications) usually takes up to 4 weeks. We try our best to respond quickly, however this depends a lot on the number of applications and the vacancy itself.
I am interested in several vacancies. Can I apply for more than one?
If you are interested in more than one position, you are welcome to apply for all.
However, it is important that you bear in mind that the number of applications should not be too high. Show us that you have chosen this vacancy for a particular reason, as you believe your profile meets the requirements. Too general, non-targeted applications do not create a good impression.

In general, we offer 3 to 6 months internships; the minimum duration of an internship is 3 months. We do not offer any shorter assignments, as we want you to maximise the benefit of your time with Kuehne + Nagel.
