Kuehne + Nagel has various security related programs covered by the overall umbrella of its QSHE based three pillars concept:
- Regulatory affairs and international security initiatives
- Supply chain security
- IT security
Regulatory affairs and international security initiatives
Within the regulatory affairs and security initiatives it is our aim to ensure that all relevant certificates and licenses are compliant to the requirements for the day-to-day business. Among others, Kuehne + Nagel holds security certificates from TAPA (Technology Asset Protection Association), C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) and other countries initiatives as well as by the World Customs Organization.
Supply chain security
We assist our customers by delivering electronic seafreight shipment and manifest data by fully supporting relevant national and/or regional Customs’ security systems such as AMS, ISF, AFR, ACI etc.
As supply chain security is a comprehensive task it is our goal to ensure the utmost level of security throughout the whole supply chain to prevent potential thefts or criminal acts as far as possible. We continuously strive to create a stable and predictable environment in which our customers may pursue their business without disruption or harm and without fear of disturbance to the entrusted freight along the supply chain.
IT Security is not an isolated item but is integral part of the global QSHE activities ensuring office/ warehouse (physical security) access control, security access to laptops, systems and applications. By doing so, we strive for the highest level protecting our customers’ goods.
